War Horse

This weekend we went to see the National Theatre’s staging of War Horse, a play adapted from the children’s book by Michael Morpurgo. The horses were life-sized, three-man operated puppets and were extraordinarily lifelike in form and portrayal, displaying all the qualities of the real animals. It was very moving and remarkable performance.
